Ha! I finally cut out the fabric for my sister’s dress (well, except for one little piece I still need to cut out). It was rather intimidating so I put if off for a while (my new motto is “just do it”). There are almost nine yards of fabric in this dress. Most of it’s in the skirt (and a lot in the sleeves). Check out the pattern piece for the front of the dress (outlined in a paint program):
I’m using this pattern (see mccallpattern.com for details):
The pattern pieces were folded so poorly that I “had” to iron them. They got very static electricity-y. I was very amused for around half a minute when I stuck a piece to the wall:
I hope to sew it all together this week.
God bless!

Greetings,
so sorry I haven’t been by here in a while… I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving…
oh! That dress will be so pretty… hahha, I know what you mean when patterns do that
My cat likes to lay on the paper patterns so I have to keep them away from her…
The hat you added feathers too looks nice… I like those kinds of hats… I have a black hat with feathers that I rented out for the Prince Charming costume for the Cinderella play I did, it looked nice with his costume.
Have you seen the Pendragon movie yet? I know you have the pic on your side bar, so I just wondered…I have not yet seen it.
I hope you have a lovely day,
Brielle
P.S.
So I’m looking forward to that… I have to finish a pirate dress and then finished up a Susan’s Archery dress…then the farwell gown…
I’m going to work on Susan’s Farwell dress this month…
